The Official Rulebook
I. All horses must be registered within the Equine Database and the RPA
in order to compete within RPA hosted events. However, unregistered
horses may enter in RPA-sanctioned events.
II. Members must, at all times, respect Riata and RPA rules.
III. Members must exhibit tolerance, patience, and respect towards
all other players regardless of personal feelings.
IV. All horses registered with the RPA must be in good health, and proof of
veterinary care must be provided with registration. In addition to this,
members must yearly send proof of the continued health care of their
horses and ponies.
V. Proper tack and equipment must be used during RPA competitions. Riders
must be dressed correctly, and must wear a helmet when riding at all times.
All ponies, when not being ridden, must be under control.
VI. If your horses and ponies are found to be overshown, evidence will be
submitted to Zodewood in accordance with Riata rules of proper equine care.
VII. The RPA is not responsible for any damages to riders, horses, or equipment
that occurs during an RPA show. Nor Are we responsible for rule violation on
the parts of our members.
VIII. Members must pay the one-time only registration fee along with any
additional fees listed on the registration page.
IX. The RPA will hold special events on occasion, that will only be available to
members.
The Riata Pony Association Mission Statement
The RPA promises to dedicate it's self entirely to the small soldiers of Riata.
We vow to provide support to each and every member interested in becoming involved,
and promise to host a variety of events with something for each and every pony and
horse registered within the association.

How does the RPA define a 'Pony'?
A pony is defined as any equine 14.2hh and under.
What breeds does the RPA accept?
Any and all! As long as they fit the height requirements, your horses/ponies are welcome.
