One look at Anne, and the whole world will know why the caged bird sings. She's lovely, ravishing enough to obsess over, and exceedingly gifted. Yet there is a deepness too our beloved Anne, some sadness that reminds anyone of ashes left behind. It's this sorrowful look in her big brown eyes that often turns the older staff members cold towards her, but the most adore her, going out of their way to bring her small treats and words of encouragement. We've never figured out what plagues the mind of our gentle doll, as she came to us this way, but there was talk of a twin sibling that didn't make it, leaving the dainty Anne alone. A few joke that the world just couldn't handle having two of this precious mare, but never within hearing distance of Andy Ramirez - who has become her personal crusader.

To see them together is to catch a rare glimpse of happiness between them. Andy is always so sullen and Anne so depressed that it's not very surprising that they find solace in one another. And in the driving ring, oh what a grand sight. The are perfectly in tune with eachother, Anne moving at the slightest of signals and Andy anticipating everything this tiny mare does. They are like a well-oiled machine, or so the judges exclaim. But I don't subscribe to that theory, since they are too beautiful together for mere machinery. Together, there are not enough words to fill the empty longing that builds up in your heart watching them, as if suddenly you've found a hole in your heart that has never been filled.
