If Glitter is the heart of our broodmare band, then Delia is the shield. She is a strong, reliable mare with all of the good instincts of a true leader. In record time, she's gained the trust of all of our broods, keeping them safe and secure while at the same time ensuring that all the young foals are well cared for. Safe to say, maternal doesn't even begin to cover the hard-work and dedication Delia possesses. She is a pillar of strength, and everyone seems to end up flocking to her. It's strange, to watch visitors somehow always end up at her stall or near her paddock, drawn to this gentle giant like the planets to the sun. And always, always you will find a stray child or two, lost on the immense property, in her care. But it is not just her strength and good heart that is so admirable about Delia. She's a good girl, no doubt about that, but is also a fabulous lesson horse, patiently dealing with some of our youngest students without a hint of irritation. Her build is yet another awesome factor about this lovely girl, since she's built like a truck. Perfectly proportioned, with even, textbook-gaits, hardy, straight legs, a full mane and tail, unburned feathering, and a kind face worthy of the highest praise.
